"Kansas" follows bartender to El station
El stations were in two basic varieties the local station and the express station. The station above is an express station it has a lower level for local trains and an upper level for the express track. The express trains ran downtown in the morning then uptown in the evening the upper level had a platform on each side of a single track (see below).
