Noirsville Neo Noir Image Of The Week

The Los Angeles River, only in L.A. would they call this huge concrete drainage ditch a river. Flanked by rail yards on the right and East L.A. on the left. The River was the setting for the climactic car chase in Roadblock (1951) where Charles McGraw drives his 1950  Chevy Deluxe pedal to the metal down the trough,  another chase in To Live And Die In L.A. (1985), and a scene towards the end of Point Blank (1967). It's also featured in numerous other films.
